John Ledbetter has been the President and Owner of Summit Worx since 2013, leading the company with a strong vision for innovation, precision, and excellence in energy and technology solutions. With a deep-rooted passion for problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, John has built Summit Worx into a trusted partner for government and commercial clients seeking advanced engineering and integration solutions.
Beyond his leadership at Summit Worx, John has been serving as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Southeast Hydrogen Energy Alliance since 2020, contributing his expertise to the development of sustainable and hydrogen-based energy initiatives. His involvement reflects his dedication to advancing clean energy solutions and supporting the industry’s long-term growth.
John’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from NC State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Francis Marion University. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina and North Carolina.
Having lived in the Charleston area for most of his life, John is deeply connected to the community. He is a family man who values the balance between his professional endeavors and personal life.

Recently, we completed a project building water chillers for Nordic Wave, where our team’s ability to manage production ramp-up ensured the successful delivery of over 200 units per month for ice bath systems.

We are currently conducting testing at AmplifiedAg, a local leader in vertical farming. Our collaboration with AmplifiedAg is helping validate our chillers for environmentally sustainable farming practices, showcasing the versatility of our solutions.
