Mobile Command Center

Summit Worx recently partnered with the Mount Pleasant Police Department to design, outfit, and deploy a state-of-the-art Mobile Command and Communications Center (MCC). This critical project was awarded to Summit Worx due to its extensive expertise, reputation for delivering projects on time and under budget, and ability to integrate advanced systems tailored to mission-critical needs.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department needed a cutting-edge MCC capable of supporting emergency operations, providing seamless communication across multiple networks, and equipping officers with the tools required for rapid decision-making in the field. The solution had to integrate advanced technologies while remaining user-friendly and scalable for future needs.

Summit Worx Solution

Summit Worx worked closely with the department to design, assemble, and integrate a highly functional MCC outfitted with the following components:

Advanced Communications Systems:

  • P25 800MHz network and VHF marine band access for secure communication.
  • Voice-over-IP (VoIP) support for streamlined telecommunication.
  • Secure satellite feed and cellular antenna for uninterrupted connectivity.
    On-the-move DirecTV access for real-time situational awareness.

Surveillance & Monitoring:

  • Eight high-definition surveillance cameras paired with a network video recorder (NVR) for comprehensive field monitoring.

Connectivity:

  • Internet access to ensure operational continuity in remote areas.

Operational Features:

  • Multiple workstations for team collaboration.
  • A fully equipped situation room for strategic planning and decision-making.

Training & Documentation

In addition to designing and building the MCC, Summit Worx provided extensive training to ensure personnel could efficiently operate the new systems. Detailed documentation and user manuals were delivered to support ongoing operations and maintenance.
