Summit Worx recently completed a major project for the Mount Pleasant Police Department. A new Mobile Command and Communications Center was outfitted with various communications systems by Summit Worx. Summit Worx was chosen for this critical project through an extensive vetting process because of its attention to detail, reputation for beingon-time/under-budget with a wide range of capabilities, strategic location, and expertise.
The new MCC is ready for action with state-of-the-art, mission critical components including 8 surveillance cameras with network video recorder, voice-over-IP support, on-the-move DirecTV access, and internet access. The MCC has its own secure satellite feed, cellular antenna, and access toP25 800MHz network and VHF marine band. In addition, the unit is equipped with work stations, and a situation room.
The project not only included assistance with design, assembly, and integration but also included training and development of documentation and manuals. The Town now has a much greater capability to expertly respond to a variety of emergencies and Summit Worx looks forward to continuing to support the command center.
